It reads fault codes, streams live data, and applies reversible coding tweaks using the OBDeleven FirstGen Bluetooth Classic dongle. Every write is snapshotted, so any change can be reverted in one tap.

Is VAGKing an OBDeleven alternative?

VAGKing works with the same OBDeleven FirstGen hardware but ships as a browser app instead of a mobile app. It adds pre-write snapshots and one-click revert, which the stock OBDeleven app does not expose. It implements UDS (ISO 14229) and ISO-TP (ISO 15765-2) directly, so it does not depend on the OBDeleven cloud for coding operations.

Does VAGKing work on iPhone?

No. The OBDeleven FirstGen dongle is Bluetooth Classic and has no MFi chip, so iOS cannot talk to it. VAGKing runs on macOS with a local Swift bridge; a phone or tablet browser can drive the Mac over the LAN. MFi-certified BLE dongles like the OBDLink CX would be needed for a native iOS path, which VAGKing does not currently support.

Any car on the Volkswagen Audi Group platform with a standard OBD-II port and UDS-capable ECUs: Audi, Volkswagen, Škoda, SEAT and Cupra. Coverage of coding apps and guided routines varies by model and model year, similar to OBDeleven.

Can coding changes be reverted?

Yes. Before every long-coding write, VAGKing reads the current byte layout and stores a snapshot. The History page lists every change with a single Revert button that writes the original bytes back. This is the core differentiator versus the stock OBDeleven workflow.

Factory-supported long-coding changes are low risk because they toggle options already present in the firmware. VAGKing reduces risk further by snapshotting every write, so any change can be reverted instantly. Protected operations that require SFD (Software Feature Disabling) on newer MQB Evo / MLB Evo cars remain gated by the factory and are not bypassed.
